We are incredibly excited to introduce Dan Winnega as our Boys Lacrosse Head Coach!

For over a decade, Coach Winnega has been a dedicated mentor and leader in the Northern Colorado lacrosse community. Since moving to Colorado in 2011, he has coached at every level of the game—from shaping young athletes with the Loveland Titans and 970 Lax, to guiding high school programs at Rocky Mountain, RCS, and TVHS as an assistant coach.

In 2024, his dedication to excellence was recognized when he was named the 4A Northern Conference Assistant Coach of the Year.

We are proud to bring that same award-winning leadership, defensive expertise, and passion for the game to our program. We look forward to a fantastic season ahead under Coach Winnega`s guidance!

Welcome back to TVHS Coach Bryson!

Chris Bryson brings more than two decades of coaching experience and a deep connection to Thompson Valley to his role as Head Girls Soccer Coach.

A member of the Eagles coaching staff since 2021, Bryson has served as an assistant varsity coach during a stretch that produced two league championships and a top-two league finish in each of the last six seasons.

Bryson has coached at every level from U6 through U19 across a career spanning youth, club, and high school soccer. He has guided teams to multiple promotions and championships and has helped more than twenty players continue their careers in college soccer. He spent seven years as board president of United Soccer Club, where he continues to serve on the Board and as a team coach.

A Thompson Valley family since 2014, Bryson watched both of his daughters play in the program before joining the coaching staff in 2021.

Welcome Coach Tristo as our next Girls` Basketball Head Coach!

A familiar face and pillar within the community, Tristan currently serves as a math teacher at Thompson Valley High School and brings over 15+ years of diverse, high-level basketball coaching experience to the Eagles` sidelines.

Coach Oliver, also known as Coach Tristo in the basketball world and Mr O in the classroom, has a deep history of developing basketball talent throughout the local region across both boys` and girls` programs. His coaching background includes a tenure coaching boys basketball at neighboring Loveland High School, coaching at Kinard Core Knowledge Middle School, and coaching competitive athletes on the AAU circuit with the Northern Colorado Rage, Colorado Select Athletics, and Rocky Mountain Sports Academy as well as training several athletes of all ages.

Originally from Maryland, he was a three-sport high school athlete in basketball, soccer, and track and field. He went on to graduate from Frostburg State University (Maryland) with a Bachelor’s degree in Business. This unique intersection of experiences as a competitive multi-sport athlete, a business graduate, and a classroom educator shapes his analytical, holistic coaching philosophy focused on team efficiency, athletic growth and development, team culture, and strong student accountability.

Having coached and taught in this community for years, I know firsthand the talent and passion that exists here and how the community supports it. My goal is to build a relentless, disciplined, and selfless team culture. We are going to play a fast-paced, high-energy brand of basketball that our school, parents, and community will love to and continue to support, while ensuring our student-athletes strive for excellence both on the court and in the classroom.
